怪不得QQ上那些人一个个在收到燕小琅的消息后会做出那样的反应，迟达终于懂了。

可是迟达不懂，老头明明说那沙漏上的符咒是噬魂的，怎么会成了聚魂？

好在燕小琅还在接着说：“那只沙漏上画着一种诡异的符咒，在活人身边，它会噬魂；在死人身边，它就会聚魂，这也是为什么它会侵扰到你的原因。迟达，原谅我，我知道它在伤害你，但是我实在舍不得离开你，所以希望它能慢慢把我们的魂魄融合在一起，让我们生生死死都在一起，就像追求我的时候，你承诺的那样……”

这是爱吗？似乎是的，但是这种以占有为最终目的的爱，却让迟达只感到无比的寒冷。

迟达离开了家，他对燕小琅说，他是要去找回那只沙漏。但是离家之后，他再也没有回去。

身边没有了沙漏，也没有了燕小琅，迟达终于睡得香了。似乎是为了补回以前损失的睡眠，他睡得越来越沉，时间也越来越长。

直到有一天，他突然意识到自己好像醒不过来了。

像是魇住了，又不是魇住了，迟达有清醒的意识，他可以控制自己的灵魂，却控制不了自己的身体了。

于是，他控制着自己的灵魂站到了自己的身体睡着的床边，他竟然看到自己的身体里重叠着有好几个自己！而且那些自己都是那夜卧室里走出来的另一个“自己”那副模样，浑身鲜血淋漓，脑袋上有个摔裂的洞。而且与此同时，自己的身体竟然开始腐烂了，有大片大片的伤口在流着血水和脓水，腐败的恶臭让他阵阵眩晕。

这是怎么回事？迟达的头剧烈地疼痛起来，好像有什么遗忘的意识潮水般涌了进去。最后，迟达哀号着抱着头蹲在了地上，床上腐烂的身体留下来的脓水浸湿了他灵魂的脚，他终于想起了事情的真相。

为了爱，燕小琅就这么守着一个灵魂随时可能会出窍的活尸。一次次，燕小琅看到终于睡着的迟达深夜离魂，露出惨不忍睹的样子，她的恐惧无人知晓。而因为她是用自己的灵魂为养料，有时候，她觉得自己似乎也开始离魂了。

但燕小琅依旧坚持着，她不知道这种方法能不能真的彻底还给她一个活的迟达，但即使只是让迟达在她身边多停留一天，对她来说，也是值得的。

当然，她也看得出迟达的怀疑，但她无法告诉迟达真相，如果迟达知道自己已死，聚魂的效果将瞬间消散。可是多疑的迟达逼得她实在瞒不住了，她只好编了一个其实是她死了的谎言来安抚迟达。原本她还希望迟达能因为爱她而找回沙漏，继续和她过短暂安稳的生活。只可惜，迟达辜负了她，让她所有的苦心都化作了流水，现在，谁也留不住迟达了。
